July 5th

It was a great weekend because we were able to bless Dallen, and enjoy having Jen and Sterling visit. We guilted them into coming because thats is were we got Dallens middle name. I think they had fun although Sterling hurt his knee when playing basketball. Emily and Chris came as well, and it was fun to see them again. Thanks to all those that came to help with the blessing.

4th of July

We had a wonderful forth of July this year thanks to great friends and family.

These cute kids were patiently waiting for the parade to start. The kids loved it but I think Linzi had the most fun picking up candy. She would run down the road pick up arm fulls of candy and run back to the car with only half of what she started with. The other funny part is that her pants wouldn't stay on her bottom so she had plummers crack supper bad.

This is Linzi running back to the car with her candy you can see how excited she was.

Everyone waiting for the fireworks. I found out that Morgan loves Watermelon, he eats it all even the green part. He had peice after peice, so the next day we enjoyed diapers full of watermelon seeds.

We played with sparklers and enjoyed the fireworks. It was a wonderful evening.

Funnies about having a new baby

I just wanted to share some of the funny things my kids have said and done in the last couple days refereing to the new baby.
The first thing Linzi said when she saw the new baby was,"He has a big nose and black eyes!" She has also been interested in the feeding process, like any other child, she was watching and i told her that Dallen was drinking his milk from mom, and she looked at me so plainly and said like the cow. Yes, I guess it helps to live around animals when it comes to explaining things, because a few days later Jamison was holding Dallen and he was rooting around. I told Jamison that Dallen was hungry and Jamison said no he's just acting like a chicken. Morgan like to help burp the baby but I think thats only because its his oppertunity to hit the baby. This Morning I had Dallen down stairs on the couch, and I was trying to get Morgan and Jamison in the tub, when i heard some grunting noise coming up the stairs. I ran out the door and Linzi says, "I bring ya your baby". Later when my dad asked her about carring the baby up the stairs she said, "yup and it scared mama." MY kids have been a great help and I love them for making me laugh.

Busy Week

Last week was full of excitement and chaos all at the same time. Starting the Saturday before mothers day I had contractions all night long about 5 minutes, apart until Tuesday night when they were every 2 minutes and were last over a minute long. So early Wednesday morning Scott and I made the long trip to the hospital, but as soon as I got the gown on the contractions completely stoped. I was only dilated to a 3 so they wouldn't keep me. As soon as I had my clothes back on the contractions began again but weren't consistent. After spending most of the day in Vegas trying to keep labor going i decided to go home and be in my bed and just relax. That did the trick. After another long night of painful contractions and no sleep, I started bleeding and asked Scott to take me in again. We almost got to Vegas and the NHP stopped us and made us get off the road for a wide load. It was a giant boat, I thought who the hell needs a boat out this way, I need to get to the dang hospital. I was having a hard time at that point. When we got to the hospital I was dilated to a 7. Shortly later came Dallen Stirling Miller, 7lbs 14oz 19nches long. He is a beautiful baby, and he has HAIR!!! nice dark hair, Scott keeps asking who's baby is this, he must not look in the mirror often.
When we got home from the hospital all the framing was done on our house and they are starting on the roof. I thought I would post some pics of that too.

It has been Started

Here is a picture of the slab for our house. I think it looks really small but scott keeps reassuring me that once the walls go up it will be just fine. I am still very excited.
